As a leader of a company, those words will never come out of my mouth. Employees should be able to look up to their leaders for strength, inspiration, and the willing to learn and grow. Not to grow for you, but for themselves. If one becomes complacent and feels there's no more room to grow, I believe life becomes at a standstill. There is always room to grow! I once read..."Until thought is linked with purpose, there is no intelligent accomplishment." People think from their conscious mind, but have emotion from their subconscious mind. Many habits are built into your subconscious mind, and therefore react and believe in those habits. You need to change your habits and create new ones through visualization. This will create new habits into your subconscious mind, and you will begin reacting to these new habits. You will then see, feel, and believe you can go as high as you desire. It is truly your choice...you are now aware of your true potential. You want to grow and excel in whatever you choose to do. Once you're at this level, then ask yourself if you're willing to be just mediocre. -Kathy

Brings to mind this quote:
“It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.” Mark Twain

Being a fan of Shakespeare and recently watching Pride and Prejudice, I also lament the deterioration of the English language.

Hi Bob,

It is good to share your hotel dinner experience with others to know when we face similar situation what we should do to make it better experience to others. I was very surprised that top hotel management did not take the initiative to call you in person to apologize and offer something in return as a compensation. In this case, you would have noticed the after service effort to fix the error and fully satisfy the customer. I am sure there are lessons learned here and most importantly is to speak up with the intention to let them acknowledge the mistake and find ways to fix it. I like your approach in making it public and thank you for sharing your experience with us.
